Precision Geodesic Dome Connectors

Engineering Nature's Perfect Shape

Transform your vision into reality, from cozy cabins to expansive greenhouses

Sustainable Solutions for Alternative Living

At GeoCraft, we believe that human habitats should work in harmony with natural systems. We create precision-cut recycled steel geodesic dome connectors that transform ordinary materials into extraordinary structures that harmonize with their environments.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable tools and resources that empower people to construct permaculture-based, earth-friendly, and off-grid structures. We are committed to increasing health and happiness through cost-efficient building solutions.

Each GeoCraft connector is locally manufactured from recycled steel and finished with a baked-on paint process that ensures decades of reliable use in any climate, whether you're building a cozy cabin, a productive greenhouse, or a community gathering space.

Our Vision & Mission

Philosophy

At GeoCraft, we believe that human habitats should work in harmony with natural systems rather than against them. The geodesic dome—nature's perfect shape—represents the ideal balance of strength, efficiency, and beauty.

Vision

We envision a world where geodesic domes dot the landscape as beacons of sustainable innovation—where communities thrive in structures that are as beautiful as they are functional, as affordable as they are durable.

Mission

GeoCraft's mission is to provide high-quality, affordable tools and resources that empower people to construct permaculture-based, earth-friendly, and off-grid structures that increase health and happiness through cost-efficient building solutions.

Optimal Dome Sizing Guide

Getting the right dome size for your available materials is crucial for minimizing waste and controlling costs. Our charts and calculations help you maximize the dome size while efficiently using standard 2x4 lumber lengths.

2V Dome Sizing

For 8' 2x4s:

  • Optimal diameter: 12'-14'
  • Waste percentage: ~5%
  • Strut configuration: A=4', B=4'2"

For 10' 2x4s:

  • Optimal diameter: 16'-18'
  • Waste percentage: ~7%
  • Strut configuration: A=5'2", B=5'4"

3V Dome Sizing

For 8' 2x4s:

  • Optimal diameter: 16'-18'
  • Waste percentage: ~8%
  • Strut types: A, B, C (see detailed guide)

For 10' 2x4s:

  • Optimal diameter: 20'-22'
  • Waste percentage: ~6%
  • Allows for taller entryways and windows

Material Efficiency Tips:

  • Use our calculator to optimize your specific dome size
  • Plan your door and window locations before cutting struts
  • Consider using leftover material for internal supports
  • For 3V and 4V domes, mix lumber lengths for optimal efficiency
